Bullers Calliope Durif (Rutherglen) (2018)

Our Calliope Range is developed from our 100 year old vines on our Rutherglen vineyard, where the grapes are grown naturally, without irrigation and vintages are made in only the best years. The Calliope Range is made in limited quantities and is sold only by allocation to our most discerning customers. Our Calliope wines are traditionally fermented with extended maceration on skins to achieve equilbrium of flavour and structure. The wine is matured in American Oak hogsheads and is meticulously overseen by our Winemaker to ensure only wine of the highest calibre makes it to the bottle.
 
Nose: Aromas of ink, violets and plums with nuances of toasty mocha.
Palate: Flavours of forest fruits integrate with the tannins to provide structure and finish.
Food Match: It’s big, bold and full of flavour so it is time for bold food choices. Try pan seared venison with rosemary and dried cherries or test your culinary skills and give salt and pepper crocodile a go!
